CUBOGRIT U — Band saw blade with segmented CBN layer
WIKUS is expanding its portfolio of coated band saw blades with the new product CUBOGRIT, which uses cubic boron nitride (CBN) as the cutting material. Cubic boron nitride is the second hardest material known, with properties including high hardness and strength as well as heat and chemical resistance. These properties make CUBOGRIT band saw blades ideal for reliable processing of hardened ferrous materials and hard alloys as well as alloys produced by 3D printing. With CUBOGRIT, even the hardest materials up to 70 HRC can now be cut economically.
Minimum requirements on the machine side:
- cutting speed over 1200 m/min
- high stability of the machine
- high drive motor torque
